Playtime Paris

LOLA + BLAKE was lucky enough to attend the amazing Playtime Paris. Wow!  What an incredible show, so many inspiring children’s fashion brands held in the beautiful Parc du Floral, previously the grounds of the King’s Chateau nearby.  The venue was polished concrete floors, beautiful and elegant steel work, decorated with pops of vibrant and sumptuous furnishings.  I was one of 50 UK brands representing the best of the British kid’s fashion scene. I spoke to so many interesting buyers and boutique shop owners from all around the world and it spurred me on to continue creating bright and colourful unisex nightwear for you lovely lot! 

The atmosphere at the show was a lot more relaxed than other UK shows I have done, such is the Parisian way! There were engaging trend talks and beautiful displays of brands that encompassed these emerging trends.  We were delighted to be selected to have an item showcased in the display for the new “Humble” trend alongside some other stunning pieces that illustrated this trend’s vibe.

I can’t say I brushed up too much on my French skills, despite my best efforts.  At the end of the day, our dream-inspiring designs did the talking!  Not only did the show allow me to branch out into more boutiques across Europe, meaning more little ones get to snug up in our no-gender nightwear, but it was a wonderful platform to increase LOLA + BLAKE brand awareness.

A big thank you to the Playtime organisers and crew for making the show so smooth.  To ukft for the support and exposure they gave me. To the Department of International Trade for all their market research and funding to help me get here and finally to the new stockists!  I am so excited to get back and pack up your orders.
